Ashley Mathews

As an educator, it is my responsibility to not only explore the curriculum with students, but also to foster their curiosity for further academic enrichment by tailoring content to student's interests, abilities, and individual learning styles. In class, I will work to create a nurturing environment that is respectful of differences and conducive to taking risks. I will manage student behavior proactively in a positive manner with respect for student growth at heart. By developing strong relationships with students and their families, I will be better prepared to act as not only a guide but also as a role-model for behavior, problem solving, conflict management and lifelong learning.

A great teacher never strives to explain his vision. He simply invites you to stand beside him and see for yourself.
